Embracing the Moment

How do feel when you think of these terms? What do these images
bring to you mind? Do you relive specific events which have occured
in your life? How do you handle or cope with difficult circumstances
in your life?
When we face difficult times we have an opportunity to experience
God in a deeper way. Take these steps when you find yourself in
difficult circumstances.

Do not be blinded by circumstances, afraid, discouraged, bitter,
or complain. How do you intially react when you find yourself in
a challenging situation? We should look to God first. He is our best
resource and He is always there to hear us when we call on Him.

Example: When you leave a dark theater and enter into the
sunshine the light can be blinding.
This can be similar when you encounter dark times in your life.
If God revealed too much ahead of what we see right now (the step
we are on) it might be more than we could handle.
If you are a believer you have hope in God and you can depend on
Him through difficult times.

You can tell God how you feel. He is a great listener and counselor.
Ask Him to help you overcome the challenges in your life.
Page 43 "When you take the first step to embrace God in your
circumstances, He will go the distance to embrace you."
What is the first step to embracing God in your circumstances?
When things get tough know that God will guide you through
if you let Him. Pray for God to reveal Himself to you when you
experience negative emotions.
God sees and understands even when we do not. He can be trusted.
He is all we need.
