Beauty for Ashes

Isaiah 61:3 (Amplified Bible)

"To grant [ consolation and joy] to those who mourn in Zion--to give them an ornament (a garland or diadem) of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, the garment [expressive] of praise instead of a heavy, burdened, and failing spirit--that they may be called oaks of righteousness [lofty, strong, and magnificent, distinguished for uprightness, justice, and right standing with God], the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified."

Hold on.... God is with you

Isaiah 43:2

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.

As you walk with God this week meditate on this verse; know that no matter what you are going through God is with you, and He will protect you and see you through whatever you are facing.

The Right Path

"No matter how far away from God you've gone, when you surrender your life to the Lord, a path is carved from where you are to where you are supposed to be, and He puts you on it."

(Stormie Omartian)

Have you made that first step toward God? If not, why not do it today?
